While exploring bella Ravello, I came upon this gate leading to the Biblioteca San Francesco. The design of the iron work was so delicately beautiful and I was fortunate to have it backlit so that it could be enjoyed in context with the marble steps and the greenery beyond.

I am drawn to the light, to color, texture and shapes, and to stories told in the images I shoot. Whether I am looking out my window at storm clouds rolling in, walking in the arboretum or along a canal in Venice, I am aroused by and driven to capture the essence in the images I see.
